In a boost to religious tourism, IRCTC will launch the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train on July 25 for a 17-day Shri Ramayana Yatra. The journey will cover 7,600 km and key pilgrimage sites including Ayodhya, Janakpur, Varanasi, Rameshwaram, and more. Packages start at Rs 1.17 lakh and include meals, stays, and transfers.

In a major boost to religious tourism, the Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) is set to launch the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train on July 25, 2025.
As informed by IRCTC through a press release, it will be launched for a special pilgrimage journey, the Shri Ramayana Yatra. The 17-day journey will begin from Delhi Safdarjung Railway Station, offering devotees of Lord Ram a comprehensive tour of sacred sites associated with his life and legacy.
As per the release, the initiative is part of the Government of India’s “Dekho Apna Desh” and “Ek Bharat Shreshtha Bharat” programmes, aimed at promoting domestic tourism and national integration.
IRCTC has very smartly planned the train circuit that will cover major spiritual destinations of India, including Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhi, Janakpur (Nepal), Buxar, Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Nashik, Hampi, and Rameshwaram, before returning to Delhi.
The Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train features state-of-the-art facilities such as air-conditioned coaches. As informed, the train has been made to accommodate up to 150 passengers.
Each coach of the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe AC Tourist Train has been equipped with modern facilities such as sensor-based washrooms, shower cubicles, foot massagers, two onboard restaurants, and CCTV security with guards for each coach.
Tourists will be visiting Ayodhya’s Ram Janmabhoomi, Hanuman Garhi, and Ram Ki Paidi, followed by Bharat Mandir in Nandigram. From Sitamarhi, passengers will travel by road to Janakpur in Nepal, the birthplace of Goddess Sita. The itinerary also includes Buxar’s Ramrekha Ghat, Varanasi’s Kashi Vishwanath temple and Ganga aarti, and the sacred cities of Prayagraj and Chitrakoot.
Later, the journey moves to Nashik’s Trimbakeshwar temple, then to Hampi, the legendary Kishkindha of Ramayana, and concludes with a visit to Rameshwaram’s Ramanathaswamy temple and Dhanuskodi. The total distance covered will be around 7,600 km.
As per the release from IRCTC, the all-inclusive package of the Bharat Gaurav Deluxe has been priced at Rs 1,17,975 for 3AC, Rs 1,40,120 for 2AC, Rs 1,66,380 for 1AC cabin, and Rs 1,79,515 for 1AC coupe.
The package will be inclusive of hotel stays, vegetarian meals, sightseeing, AC transfers, travel insurance, and tour managers. Moreover, a part-payment option (25% of cost) is also available.
